Dr. XU, Ke won the 2014 HKIS Young Scientist Award

Dr. XU, Ke, supervised by Prof. Tsang Hon Ki, won the 2014 Hong Kong Institution of Science (HKIS) Young Scientist Award in the category of Engineering Science and received the top prize of HK$10,000. The HKIS annual conference was held at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology on 8 Nov 2014.

A new standard for evaluating wearable, cuffless blood pressure devices has been approved by IEEE. The chair of the working group for this new standard is IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society Fellow, Prof. ZHANG, Yuan Ting. The new standard may influence life-saving innovations in healthcare, and is truly exciting.

Prof. CHUNG, Ching Pak - Awarded Choh-Ming Li Professorship

The University has awarded Prof. CHUNG, Ching Pak the Li Choh-Ming Professorship to recognize his distinguished scholastic performance. The awardee will be provided with a general expense account at HK$100,000 p.a. to support his academic and research activities.
