Prof. H. K. Tsang awarded the IEEE Hong Kong Section 50th Anniversary Distinguished Contribution Award

Prof. H. K. Tsang has been awarded the IEEE Hong Kong Section 50th Anniversary Distinguished Contribution Award (2022).

The IEEE Hong Kong Section 50th Anniversary Distinguished Contribution Award is to celebrate the establishment of IEEE Hong Kong Section for 50 years. The award was given to several Hong Kong IEEE members who have provided distinguished contributions to increase the knowledge and make advancement of an EEE area, and also make significant contributions to IEEE and IEEE Hong Kong.

Dr. TONG Lei - Awarded RGC Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme 2022-23

Dr. TONG Lei, an EE Postdoctoral Fellow in the research group of Prof. XU Jianbin has been recently awarded for the RGC Postdoctoral Fellow 2022/23 (https://www.ugc.edu.hk/eng/rgc/funding_opport/pdfs/awardees.html), which has been established by The Research Grants Council of Hong Kong to encourage doctoral graduates in pursuing career in research and provide promising researchers with support at a pivotal time in their very early career.

CUEE No. 23 Worldwide - U.S. News & World Report: Best Global Universities Rankings 2023


CUHK Electrical and Electronic Engineering has risen to 23rd place worldwide in the recently released Best Global Universities Rankings 2023 by the U.S. News & World Report.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong has risen to a record high of 53rd place, climbing 29 places from last year to be ranked No. 1 in Hong Kong. CUHK also ranked in the top 50 worldwide in 11 subjects, including CUHK Electronic Engineering, and in the top 10 in three of them.

The Best Global Universities Ranking by the U.S. News & World Report covers 47 subject rankings and evaluates nearly 2,000 universities across more than 90 countries using more than 10 performance indicators, including number of publications, total number of citations, global and regional research reputation, and international collaboration.

Prof. Hongsheng Li - Awarded Young Researcher Award 2021-22

In order to recognize research accomplishments of young faculty members, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) established a Young Researcher Award in 2002.

Prof Li Hongsheng has been awarded for the Young Researcher Award 2021-22 by the University.
