Course Description:

Part I: Complex Variables
Complex numbers, analytic functions, complex functions, power series and convergence tests.
Part II: Linear Algebra
Matrices, systems of linear equations and solutions, determinants and rank, eigenvalues and eigenvectors.
Part III: Introduction to Numerical Methods
Numerical integration and differentiation, numerical methods in linear algebra.
Part IV: Introduction to Probability and Statistics
Basic concepts in probability and statistics.

Assignment (10),  Around weekly, No late assignment will be accepted and zero mark will be recorded. 20%

Midterm exam (1), 14 March, in class, Topics: L01-L10, Closed-book exam, one A4-sheet for formulas is allowed.

25%
Final exam (1), Date to be confirmed, Closed-book exam, Topics: ALL, two 4-sheet for formulas are allowed. 50%
