Resume of Career
Resume of career: Ying Xue is a Vice-chancellor Assistant Professor at the Electronic Engineering department in The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She received her PhD in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2022, and her B.Sc from Shandong University in 2017. Her current research interests include semiconductor optoelectronic devices, silicon photonics, nanophotonics, and integrated photonics, with particular emphasis on semiconductor lasers and photodetectors. Her work has been published in prestigious journals such as Optica, Light: Science & Applications, Laser & Photonics Reviews, and Photonics Research. Her research work has been featured by multiple technology media such as Optics & Photonics News, Phys.org, Semiconductor Today, and Compound Semiconductor. She has delivered a plenary talk and numerous invited talks. She was also honored with the Optica Foundation Challenge 2023 and the Rising Star of Women in Engineering 2023.
