Prof. XU, Jian Bin named as Member of International Advisory Committee

Prof. XU, Jian Bin has recently been selected as Member of International Advisory Committee of International Conference on Nanoscience and Technology, China 2009 (ChinaNano 2009). The conference is presumably the largest one on nanoscience and nanotechnology in the Greater China and Asia. The Conference Chairman is Prof. Chunli Bai, Executive Vice President of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Student Awarded ESET NOD32 Scholarship 2008/9

Our undergraduate year 2 student, Miss Kou Wai Chu, has been awarded the ESET NOD32 Scholarship for 2008/9. Students receiving the scholarship have attained good academic results and demonstrated records in local community services or outstanding performance in extra-curricular activities.

ZHANG, Wei - 2009 IEEE Communication Society Asia-Pacific Outstanding Researcher

Dr. Zhang was one Prof. Ching P.C.'s PhD graduates, who is now teaching at UNSW, has been awarded one of the five Year 2009 IEEE Communication Society Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher (age under 35).

Prof. CHAM, Wai Kuen, PI of the Project “Future Multimedia Standards”, has been awarded a research grant of HK$1,000,000 (Aug. 2008 – Jan. 2010) from Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Company Ltd.
