EE PhD Student Wins ACP 2025 Best Student Paper Award

Ding Chen, a PhD student in the Department of Electronic Engineering, supervised by Professor Chester Shu, has received the Best Student Paper Award at The Asia Communications and Photonics Conference (ACP) 2025. The award recognizes the paper titled “Joint Dual-Pilot and MRC Aided NOMA-DSCM for 240-Gbps Coherent PON with Extended Far-End ONU Coverage.” ACP is one of the largest conferences in the Asia-Pacific region on optical communication, photonics and relevant technologies, which has been held annually tracing back to 2001 and jointly sponsored by OPTICA, SPIE, IEEE Photonics Society, The Chinese Optical Society and China Institute of Communications.
