簡介  (English Version)

程伯中教授先後于1977年和1981年在英國利物浦大學獲得電機工程與電子學學士學位(一等榮譽)和博士學位。其後由1981年至1982年，他在英國巴夫大學(University of Bath)從事信號處理和語音編碼之研究。1982年回港，並任教于現時的香港理工大學。1984年程伯中教授加入香港中文大學，現為該校電子工程學系講座教授及信興高等工程研究所所長 。1998年至2003年，程伯中教授獲選擔任香港中文大學工程學院院長一職。2004年至2008年， 則被委任為逸夫書院院長。2006年八月， 獲委任為大學副校長。過去二十年間，程伯中教授積極參與國內外各類學術活動。他是香港工程師學會及英國電機工程師學會理事會會員。1997年至2000年底，程伯中教授為IEEE信號處理雜誌的副主編， 2001年至2003年則為IEEE信號處理快報的副主編，1996年至2004年出任IEEE信號處理理論和方法技術委員會的會員。2002年至2004年，程伯中教授任<<HKIE 雜誌>>主編；及由2001年起任<<數據採集與處理>>雜誌編輯委員會名譽委員。此外，程伯中教授亦曾協助組織多個國際會議，包括1997年的IEEE電路和系統國際研討大會， 及2003年舉行的IEEE聲學、語音和信號處理國際大會。程伯中教授于2000年被授予IEEE Third Millennium Medal。除此之外，程伯中教授亦熱心參于社區服務，目前是香港品質保證局董事、香港研究資助局學科小組委員，以及版權審裁署委員。2000 至 2006年 期間亦曾擔任消費者委員會的委員 及 香港認可諮詢委員會主席。2002 至 2008年為機電工程署電氣安全諮詢委員會委員。程伯中教授亦是北京郵電大學、華中科技大學、東南大學及中國科學院聲學研究所的客座教授。
