Resume of Career:

 

Dr. Xu received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Nanjing University in 1983 and 1986, respectively, in Physics and Information Physics, under the supervision of Prof. Shu-yi Zhang (Member of Chinese Academy of Sciences). Since 1988, he was highly privileged to study in the University of Konstanz (an elite university), particularly under the supervision of Prof. Klaus Dransfeld (Member of German Academy of Sciences, former Director of Max-Plank Institute for Solid State Research, and Max-Plank Institute for High-Magnetic Fields). His doctoral dissertation was focused on the near-field sensing and nanoscopic energy transfer and heat transport associated with electronic processes. He earned his doctorate (Dr.rer.nat.) in 1993. Afterwards, he joined the Department of Electronic Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has been Professor in the department since the midst of 2002.

Dr. Xu has published extensively on advanced electronic and photonic materials and devices as well as on nanotechnology in peer-reviewed professional journals (c.a. 350) and conferences (c.a. 60) as well as more than 200 presentations, including conference invited talks, colloquia, seminars, etc. The published papers have been extensively accessed and cited, as well as many topic reviews and monographs, and patents. Meanwhile, he has secured numerous competitive research grants. Also he actively participates in a myriad of professional activities and has served as symposium chair in several international conferences. Particularly, he has served as Member of International Advisory Committee, International Conference on Nanoscience and Technology, China 2009 (ChinaNano 2009), and as Director of Advanced Study Institute on Printed Electronics 2013 (Dedicated to Professor Sir Charles Kao on the Occasion of his 80th Birthday). He is a Fellow of IEEE and Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, the Secretary and Council Member of Hong Kong Materials Research Society, and Member of American Physical Society, Materials Research Society, Hong Kong Institution of Science, and Physical Society of Hong Kong. Since 2007, he has been Director of Materials Science and Technology Research Center in CUHK. From 2011, he has been Convener of Strategic Initiatives for Nano, Energy, and Materials in CUHK.

Dr. Xu is a recipient of Joint Research Fund for Overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macau Scholars, funded by NSFC, a nationally prestigious award (formerly National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (Overseas Chinese)).

 

個人簡歷


許建斌博士1983年和1986年在南京大學獲得理學學士及碩士學位。其碩士論文指導教授為張淑儀院士。1988年初赴德國康斯坦茨大學(精英大學)深造,師從德國著名固體物理學和應用物理學家 Klaus Dransfeld教授(德國科學院院士),主要從事納米科學技術研究,特別是掃描探針顯微術和近場顯微術及其在能量傳遞方面的應用。1993年夏獲得德國自然科學博士。其後加盟香港中文大學電子工程系。


2002年至今擔任香港中文大學電子工程系教授,並擔任 南京大學,湖南大學,北京工業大學, 中科院深圳先進技術院, 暨南大學,深圳大學等客座教授。長期從事納米科學技術,固態電子學物理及材料,以及半導體光電子器件物理的研究工作。在微納米尺度表徵,納米熱傳導、MOS柵極絕緣層,氧化鋅,有機半導體器件介面物理,以及石墨烯及二維電子材料製備及器件物理,新型太陽能電池等方面做出了諸多有重要影響力的研究工作。已發表400 餘篇學術論文 ,其中SCI收錄 350餘篇。迄今論文他人引用次數逾7300次。


香港工程師學會(HKIE) Fellow, 美國電氣暨電子工程師學會(IEEE) Fellow,美國物理學會及美國材料研究學會會員。現任香港材料學會秘書長, Science Bulletin副主編,微電子學報編委,中國真空學會理事。在MRSICMATChinaNano EDSSC等多個重要國際和國內學術會議擔任顧問委員會、程序委員會委員, 或分會主席,作席邀請報告百餘次。迄今擔任三十餘種科技期刊特約評審員,其中包括《自然》物理類子刊JACS,《先進材料》,IEEE會刊,Nano Letters, ACS Nano等。作為首席研究員,主持並完成近三十多項香港研究資助局研究基金以及國家自然科學基金委基金等研究項目,特別是20072012年度國家自然科學基金會-香港研究資助局聯合研究基金(合作單位:南京大學)2008年度香港研究資助局合作研究基金(CRF)等。同時,作為主要參與者之一,籌畫並執行2013年度香港研究資助局主題研究基金(TRS)智慧化太陽能技術採集、存儲和應用專案(基金額度逾六千萬港幣),以及2012年度廣東省創新科團隊先進電子封裝材料創新團隊專案依託單位:中科院深圳先進技術研究院, 基金額度逾五千萬人民幣


1995年籌建並主持香港中文大學納米技術實驗室。自2007年至今出任香港中文大學材料研究中心主任,2011年至今出任工程學院納米能源材料研究計畫總招集人。於2009年度暨2012年度(延續)與南京大學施毅教授合作榮獲國家自然科學基金委海外及港澳學者合作基金獎( 即原國家海外傑出青年科學基金獎.)。榮獲香港中文大學工程學院傑出學人,以及香港中文大學卓越研究獎。他的研究團隊與他人合作,榮獲國家教育部2014年度高等學校科學研究優秀成果獎(科學技術)二等獎。

 

 

研究方向

 

(1) 新型太陽能技術, 特別是鈣鈦礦基太陽能電池研究與開發; (2) 石墨烯及新型二維固態半導體電子及光電子材料與器件探討; (3) 有機固態半導體電子及光電子器件(如器件物理,介面改性與表徵,新型器件探索); 4)表面等離激元光子學在半導體電子及光電子器件中的研究; (5) 氧化物基固態半導體電子及光電子器件; (6) 納米技術在固態電子材料和器件中的應用(如掃描探針顯微術和近場顯微術, 納米材料和器件構築與表徵);7)先進電子封裝技術等。

代表成果

        長期從事掃描探針顯微術,及電子新材料、物理和器件研究。特別在碳基光電子薄膜材料的輸運性質及器件物理,氧化物基低維納米結構及其製備和表徵,矽基超薄柵絕緣層製備與介面性質,新型掃描探針顯微術,表面等離激元光子學,鐵電材料納米特性,納米尺度熱傳導,及原子力顯微術晶體形貌學等方面開展了深入系統的研究。

        深入地探討了石墨烯以及二硫化鉬與二氧化矽/矽襯底的相互作用,特別是電荷轉移性質及電荷輸運的散射機理,取得了石墨烯在二氧化矽/矽襯底上迄今最高的室溫電荷遷移率。從實驗和理論上,深入系統地研究了石墨烯在過渡金屬上的生長規律,並發展了生長高品質石墨烯的方法及製備了新型高性能石墨烯基廣譜光電檢測器

     深入地研究了有機半導體薄膜和單晶的輸運性質,氧化物基半導體薄膜的介面性質,發展了用於製備低成本及低電壓有機電晶體的高介電常數柵極介電層。在國際上率先開展了納米尺度能量傳遞的研究,及原子力顯微術晶體形貌學的研究。
