Inauguration Ceremony of IEEE CUHK Student Branch

It is one of the biggest events of IEEE CUHK Student Branch and it characters the establishment of IEEE Student Branch in CUHK.

Firm Visit to MTR Tsing Yi Operations Control Centre

Technical Seminars

Technical seminars has been held in February. It is our honor to invite those outstanding professors to give some interesting and exciting seminars on the rapid growing technological fields.

Membership Promotion Board

In order to introduce IEEE to the undergraduate and postgraduate student of CUHK, a poster with size of 3' X 6' will be placed on the board of IEEE CUHK Student Branch for membership promotion purpose.

Summer Internship

For providing a invaluable internship program to CUHK students, IEEE CUHK Student Branch cooperated with the Democratic Alliance for ※The Internship Program of DAB for Hong Kong Tertiary Student in Mainland China 2002§. Totally 3 out of 48 successful candidates are members of the Student Branch and will have 6 weeks training in various companies in Mainland China.

Volunteer Work Scheme

Scheme Period: May to July of 2002
Working Place: EE Dept of CUHK / Hong Kong Blind Union(HKBU) / At Home
Allowance: HK$1,000 - 2,000 per month
Serving Target: Hong Kong Blind Union
Objective: To provide an opportunity for enthusiastic students making use of their programming knowledge to help the blind. This scheme, we are going to develop and modify a test-to-speech program to ease the difficulties encountered by blind during computer data input.
