Paper Submission
 
    The authors, upon acceptance of their abstract, will be invited to submit a paper according to the instructions given below, for inclusion in the conference proceedings. Download the instructions here.

Please follow these instructions for preparing the paper and CD-ROM manuscripts.
 
PAPER COPY INSTRUCTIONS
Abstract: Maximum 200 words, single spaced, 10 point Roman characters. Include appropriate keywords in your abstract to allow retrieval by CD-ROM software.
 
Style: Follow the IEEE Transactions style. Use separate sections for abstract, introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusions, acknowledgement, and references.
 
References: Number references in their text order, using square brackets. Place citations at the end of text using IEEE Transactions format.
 
Paper Size: Use 210*297 mm (A4) paper or cut any other paper you use to this size.
 
Length: The full paper should be no longer than two pages. Papers longer than 2 pages will not be included in the Conference Proceedings.
 
Layout: Center the title, author’s names, affiliations (with full postal addresses) spanning the entire page. Include an email address of the correspondence author. Type the paper in two columns 84 mm (3.31”) between the columns. Each column should be left and right justified.
 
Margins: Leave 25 mm (1”) margins at the top and bottom, and 18 mm (0.7”) on the left and right sides.
 
Type Size: Use 14 point bold, capital letters for the title, 12 point Roman (normal) characters for names and affiliations, and 10 point Roman characters for the text.
 
Printer: Produce the paper in black ink using a high-quality laser or inkjet printer or typewriter. Do not use a dot matrix printer, as it does not copy well and will not be accepted.
 
Figures: Paste figures (black and white only) where needed, if necessary spanning both columns. Number and provide a caption (legend) for each figures. Do not use characters smaller than 8 point. Do not submit poor quality photocopies.
 
Color photographs and color graphics as well as black and white photographs
and graphics will be accepted. Note that color version of your photographs
and graphics will only appear in CD-ROM format.
 
CD-ROM INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Save the word processing file (the text of your paper) in ASCII format
    and e-mail the ASCII file, together with your PDF or WORD file of the paper to apbme@mail.hz.zj.cn. The ASCII text file will be used in conjunction with the PDF (or WORD) version of your camera-ready paper to produce the searchable CD-ROM. ASCII text is not viewable or retrievable.
  2. Open the ASCII file version of your paper and check that it contains no control characters. It is important that each line of text be no more than
    75 characters in length.
  3. Delete the title, author, and affiliations from the text and replace them by a list formatted as illustrated below using CAPITAL LETTERS, a space, and an equal sign (=).
  4. Do not use acronyms for keywords.

Note: There is a space before the equal sign but no space after the equal sign, and there must be a blank line between each section.

separate AUTHOR =?on a new line for each additional author on your
paper).

ABSTRACT =Insert your abstract here.

ARTICLE TEXT =Followed by the main text of your paper here.

YEAR =2000(must be the last line of the file).

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:

The following must be received by July 31, 2000 (e-mail submission STRONGLY suggested):

  1. PDF (or MS-WORD) file of your camera-ready paper;
  2. ASCII file of you paper;
  3. Advanced Registration Form (Papers without manuscript deposits or registration fees will NOT be included in the APBME proceedings).
