Study scheme applicable to S7 entrants

During the 3-year period of study, students are required to complete a minimum of 74 units of Major courses. These include 21 required courses and not less than 7 elective courses. In the first year, students take mainly fundamental courses, like Engineering Mathematics, Electronic Circuits, Computer Programming, etc.  Second-year students are taught more advanced technologies in the areas of electronics, communication and information technology.

After their second year of study, all students can participate in the work-study programme on a voluntary basis. The programme includes 12-month internship in local electronic or IT companies. In the final year of study, students are exposed to a variety of specialized areas and the most up-to-date technologies. Each student is also required to complete an independent project which involves in-depth study on a specific technical subject or hands-on hardware/software development work.
