Undergraduate Programme > Introduction
The 3-year programme of study leads to a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) honours degree, accredited by The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and by The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).

Major Programme:
  • taught courses covering state-of-the-art technologies in electronic engineering
  • integrated training of hardware and software techniques
  • specialized training in "hot" high-growth areas (e.g. wireless communications, IC design, multi-media signal processing, fiber optic networks and internet technologies, etc)
  • option of gaining work experience by taking a "year-out" to work in industry
  • group and individual projects

Minor Programme:

  • increase interaction between electronic engineering and various disciplines of study
  • provides fundamental knowledge and training in electronic engineering that helps the students in the study of multi-disciplinary subjects

EE-IBBA Double-degree Programme:

Students admitted to Electronic Engineering Programme with required standard of academic performance can apply for the EE-IBBA Double-degree Programme. This programme is jointly offered with the Faculty of Business Administration aiming at equipping students with inter-disciplinary knowledge in both Engineering and Business Administration. Students may enhance their competitive edge in career development or studies and obtain two bachelor degrees in four years.

Laboratory facilities:

Students with high academic standings could be awarded for Scholarships and Financial Assistance from the University.
