Objective

The course is designed for students to conduct experiments to verify what they have learned in electronic circuits, digital circuits and systems, and signals and systems. Students will gain hands-on experiences in building analog and digital circuits and systems.

Syllabus
  • Small Signal Transistor Parameters
  • Operational Amplifiers
  • Audio Signal Amplifier
  • Oscillator
  • Logic Gates
  • Counter Circuits
  • Fourier Analysis
  • Digital clock by CPLD

Learning Outcome

After the completion of this course, students will

  • learn practical experiences that complement the concepts they obtained during regular lectures
  • experience differences between theory and practice
  • construct and characterize practical analog and logic circuits
  • understand the CPLD and Very high-Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language (VHDL)
  • develop a working digital clock using CPLD
  • have an opportunity to practice presentation skills
  • have opportunities to practice technical writing skills
