Students with a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering and Computer Engineering may be admitted to this Programme. Students with a first degree in other fields such as Physics and Mechanical Engineering may also be considered provided that they have some experience and background in electronic engineering. The entrance requirements of the graduate school must also be satisfied.

The entrance requirements of the graduate school:
Master's programme:

• Graduated from a recognized university and obtained a Bachelor's degree, normally with honours not lower than Second Class; or
• Graduated from an honours programme of a recognized university with a Bachelor's degree, normally achieving an average grade of not lower than "B" in undergraduate courses; or
• Completed a course of study in a tertiary educational institution and obtained professional or similar qualifications equivalent to an honours degree.

We also welcome non-local applicants. All admitted non-local students must obtain a student visa or entry permit for entering Hong Kong for the purpose of education.

Notes on English Proficiency:
For those non-local applicants who are from non-English speaking countries, they are required to submit one of the following scores:

• TOEFL (minimum 550 for paper based; 213 for Computer-based; 79 for internet based)

• IELTS (miniimum Band 6.5)

• College English Test (CET 6) of PRC (minimum 430)

• Public English Test System (PETS-5) of PRC (with pass grades in both written and oral parts)

• GMAT (Verbal, Band 21), or

have obtained a recognized professional qualification awarded in Hong Kong or an English speaking country.
