2012 Distinguished Alumni Awards

The Distinguished Alumni Awards are to recognize those former students who have made significant contributions to society and are regarded as good role models for students.

Nomination for the 2012 Distinguished Alumni Awards is accepted now. Please send the nomination form (click here to download the form) to Ms Karen Yip (ysyip@ee.cuhk.edu.hk) by March 16 (Fri), 2012.

The Selection Committee will meet and make the selection. The awards will be presented to the awardees in the Distinguished Alumni Award Ceremony to be held on April 20 (Fri), 2012 in The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Details of the Ceremony will be announced later.

Composition of the Selection Committee for Distinguished Alumni Awards

Chairman:	Chairman of the Electronic Engineering Department
Members:	Current Chairman of EE Alumni Association
	Former Chairman of EE Alumni Association
	Chairman or member of Advisory Committee on Electronic Engineering
	A Former Academic Staff of the Electronic Engineering Department
	Two Current Academic Staff of the Electronic Engineering Department nominated by the Department Board of Electronic Engineering.

Award Criteria

The Committee will review the nominations and select those well-qualified candidates for Distinguished Alumni Awards based on the following criteria:

a) Alumni of the Electronic Engineering;
b) Have shown significant achievements that distinguish themselves amongst their professional peers;
c) Are regarded as good role models for students;
d) Have made good contributions to the advancement of technology and/or betterment of society.
